Brief Description: | Loosely folded plain paper, with a purple stain and black stains at the creases. The wrapper (packet 28 in the Museum's numbering) contains 16 items: 6 experimental photographs, 9 unused (black) prepared papers, and a printed instruction leaflet, given to Herschel by Robert Hunt in 1839. |

Provenance: | Presented by Miss Herschel and Lady Lubbock in 1928. They were the two surviving and youngest children of Sir John Herschel (Francisca and Constance). |
