Brief Description: | Engraving, squarish horizontal format, vignetted: waterside landscape with boats, small figures, and a windmill to right. The engraving may be taken from the work stated, though the wording of the caption suggests it is from a prospectus or advertisement. It is presumably the edition that came out in eight volumes between 1834 and 1843. Slightly discoloured, unevenly on the back, so it may have been lightly waxed or oiled. For fuller descriptive and historical commentary see narratives. | ||||||||||
