Brief Description: Compound microscope with accessories and case. The cylindrical pillar of this copper alloy instrument screws into a solid, flat tripod base. A pinhole near the base holds the Plano-concave mirror and a sub stage condensing lens is mounted on a sliding sleeve above it. The square, mechanical stage fits onto a ring on an arm. This is also mounted on a sliding sleeve for coarse focusing. An arm with a threaded ring is attached to the pillar. The body tube screws into the ring and simple eye lenses can be pushed into it. A mill-edged screw at the top of the pillar moves the arm for fine focusing. The accessories include eight lenses, stage forceps on a pin with a cork disk at the end, a super stage lens on an articulated arm, copper alloy forceps, four glass disks, two in copper alloy settings, a black and white disk, a pin and a knife with wooden handles, a Lieberk├╝hn, a circular spring stage, glass sliders, a glass disk with two micrometre scales and a lens in a blackened ivory setting. The fitted wooden case has two compartments.
