Primary Inscriptions: On affixed plaque: "MATTHEWS OSCILLOGRAPH / MARK II. / BRIT. PAT. 313539. / U.S.A. PAT. 1759951. / MADE BY / CLIFTON INSTRUMENTS LTD. / BRISTOL, ENG.". After Mark II, MS addition: "No. 200 [?]". Stamped on base of case: "214".
