Brief Description: | Amplifier and Detector Type 55A With Headphones, with seven 'Marconi' V24 valves, two sliding potentiometers, numerous terminals, dovetailed teak frame and japanned steel case. Thirteen copper alloy terminals marked "6 VOLTS + -", "H.T. VOLTS + -", "120 Ohms TELEPHONES", "E", "F", and "G". With earphones. This amplifier and detector formed part of a Marconi No.6 direction finding station. It was used along with a radiogoniometer, tuning condenser, transformer, battery and wavemeter. | ||||||||||
