|Brief Description:||The stand and eyecup of this home-made instrument are rosewood with the rectangular base weighted with lead. The stage has a brass bracket to hold specimens and moves on rackwork, fitted to the limb, for coarse focusing. Fine focus is adjusted by a vertical side-screw that moves the tube inside a leather covered sleeve. A wooden prop on the base holds the limb at an angle when in use. No mirror or objectives are present. The brass nose has an adaptor with an RMS thread to take objectives.|
