Brief Description: Collodion positive on glass (ambrotype), cased. Portrait of Samuel Morby, of Oxford, seated half length, facing right and looking right of front. Slight gold tinting. Image scratched and tarnished. The glass plate is approximately 2 by 2½ inches. Brass mat with shaped aperture, cover glass loose (no frame). In silk-lined wooden case covered in plain green velvet. Two hinges, single press-stud clasp. Companion of 88250.

Provenance: Presented by A. Riza in 1989. The subject was the uncle of Mr Riza's maternal grandmother.
