Brief Description: Large scrapbook bound in red half-leather and brown cloth. Spine detached at front. 83 paper leaves. Contains correspondence, newspaper and magazine cuttings, printed forms and notices, and some other items, compiled by George Claridge Druce (1850-1932), mostly relating to botanical and pharmaceutical subjects, to pharmaceutical, natural history, and scientific societies and meetings, especially in Oxford, and to Oxford City Council matters and local politics, c.1882-1913, mostly 1880s and 1890s. Some loose items (including the photograph), and some items torn out, including 3 torn pages.

Brief Description: In MS Museum 110, large scrapbook compiled by George Claridge Druce, c.1882-1913; loosely inserted in penultimate opening.
Woodburytype mounted on paper. Portrait of George Beatham, seated half length, facing left. Signed by the subject below the photograph, probably in printed facsimile. The context of the pages in the album is 1894-5, though more miscellaneous generally; there is nothing about Beatham on immediately adjacent pages. He was a botanist.
Primary Inscriptions: Signature of subject on front of mount, probably printed facsimile.
Provenance: Presented by John Johnson in 1939. Acquired by him after Druce's death in 1932.
