Brief Description: In R. T. Gunther's scrapbook, mostly 1880s and 1890s. Cut-out composite image consisting of a woman, seated full length in profile, holding a platter, with a separately cut-out man's head on the platter, both pasted on black paper. Vertical format but nearly square. No inscription or date, but the context in the album is 1894. Earlier in the album is a cutting from a magazine of an article "Recreations in Photography", describing and illustrating such trick photographs. Gunther's other photographs in this genre are in his photograph albums 11847 and 11848, the latter containing a development of this image.
