Brief Description: Ether vaporizer: cylindrical matte body which tapers near the top to a flat top; tapered top is shiny. Lever in a slot at top and a holder on a swivel arm;. purpose unknown. Possibly a second stage prototype of Inv. 10567 (NDA no. 4). Tube goes all the way through the device. Three orange rubber(?) or plastic(?) feet on the bottom. Black plastic/ rubber (?) rim around the bottom edge. Curved glass tube with opaque white core inside top area. Small transparent colourless tube in a holder fixed vertically to the side.

Invented post-1953 at the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics, Oxford.
