Brief Description: The mahogany, pyramidal projection box stands on two pillars on an oak baseboard. The box houses two lenses and a ground glass screen at its widest end. A wooden board slides over the screen to protect it. A threaded fitting that takes a telescoping bar, carrying an eye-locating aperture on an adjustable mounting, is set below the screen. The specimen holding assembly, consisting of two lenses and a spring stage, stands on a pillar near the narrow end of the box. The stage can be racked laterally by a wooden rod with a brass socket. A threaded rod that runs the length of the baseboard moves the assembly for focusing.
