Unsigned and undated.
Movement of brass and steel; gilt brass dial and silvered brass chapter-ring with touch-pins; drum-shaped canister case (no hinges) of gilt brass, with small hinged cover in the side for observing the fusee.
Verge escapement with dumb-bell foliot (hog bristle regulator now missing); fusee with gut.
On the bottom of the case is engraved a coat-of-arms. The remainder of the case and the dial, are ornamentally engraved; the design includes, on the dial, an illustration of a monk wearing spectacles and reading a book.
