Includes:
1. A wind-and compass-rose, and a table classifying the twelve winds according to the continent where they rise.

2. A vertical pin-gnomon dial to show in which sign of the Zodiac the Sun is, and the length of day and night; and a table of the latitudes of 36 places.

3. A horizontal string-gnomon dial, adjustable for use in latitudes 45°, 48°, 51° and 54°; a horizontal pin-gnomon dial for Italian (or Bohemian) hours, for use in latitude 54°; a compass (needle and plate missing).

4. A lunar volvelle, and two circular tables giving the number of hours of moonlight.

In the cover is a circular hole so that the compass may be used to find North, when the compendium is closed.
