?Persian CELESTIAL GLOBE ?c.1700

Brass, with inlaid silver stars.
On this globe are engraved the usual circles. Twenty-
two stars are indicated by inlaid silver points, with the
name of the star engraved adjacent to each silver point.
The names of the twelve divisions of the Zodiac are
engraved round the ecliptic circle. The other circles
are named and both the ecliptic and equatorial circles are
marked with numbered divisions of degrees. The stand is
missing.
