English MERCURY VAPOUR ARC LAMP

Küch pattern. Maker's name of aluminium cooling fins "ORIGINAL HANOVIA". Quartz-tube mercury vapour discharge lamp of the tilt-start type. The lamp is fixed to a bracket which can be rotated until a thread of mercury makes electrical contact with the opposite electrode, so starting the discharge, after which it is allowed to return to the rest position. The stand has been cleaned and repainted.
