It came to the Bodleian Library in 1659
along with the huge collection of manuscripts bequeathed by
John Selden (1584-1654), jurist and antiquary, and M.P. for
Oxford University (Bodleian shelfmark MS Arch. Seld. A 72

presented by Archbishop Laud, is also believed to have
belonged to Selden, whose interests included Judaic and
Syrian studies and calendrics.
