Privacy Policy
The Museum of the History of Science provides a number of services through its Web site, primarily to make available information about its collections. As a department of the University of Oxford it is covered by the UK Data Protection Act.
In some parts of this Web site, users may be asked to provide some limited personal information in order to enable the provision of certain services. These include newsletter subscriptions (such as Rete), and Web contact forms. By supplying this information the user consents to the University holding and using it for the purposes for which it was provided subject to the Data Protection Act. Information provided will be kept only for as long as is necessary to fulfil that purpose and personal information will not be sold to third parties, or provided to direct marketing companies or other such organisations.
